About the Author

Dr Chris Williams is Professor of Psychosocial Psychiatry and Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK. His work on helping produce and evaluate effective life skills training courses, has been used across the UK, Ireland, and Canada, and is now coming to the USA.

Professor Williams has produced life skills courses for anxiety, depression, anorexia and bulimia. He is an expert in the cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) talking therapy and is a Past-President of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies – the lead body for CBT in the United Kingdom  He is Patron of the charity  Triumph over Phobia and also a Medical adviser and “Agony Uncle” to Anxiety UK, and his work is regularly referenced in national newspapers.
